Upon calling I have been told both times to give them my credit card # so that Shark can ship me a new iron. The steam/spray button is stuck in the down position. Shark Iron GI405: I have called Shark twice regarding steam iron GI405. The take away from this experience is that Shark is not a customer friendly company, they want to milk you for any extra money that they can, customer service is a joke, you will not receive a call back in the promised 2-4 hours and the warranty means nothing. However, she refused to contact corporate on my behalf or to connect me with someone that could provide more assistance. When I asked the supervisor if she had a district manager over her, she offered me an email address so that I could send in my complaint to corporate.

So, the customer is to box up the defective product, with no promise of getting a new one, and be charged a dollar to purchase a new product that still has 4 months left on the warranty.although there is no guarantee that after they have received the old iron and the dollar that a brand new iron will be shipped. Unfortunately, she still stuck with company policy: They will send a shipping label so that you can return the defective product, but must charge $1.00 in order to honor the 1 year warranty / send you a replacement iron for the broken one.

The supervisor apologized for the defective product at least a dozen times. Not once did someone call me back during the promised 2-4 hour call back window. After my third call in under 24 hours I finally spoke to a supervisor.
